HONEY RYE WHEAT BREAD 
4 tbsp. shortening
2 c. milk (scalded)
3/4 c. honey
1 tbsp. salt
3 eggs (slightly beaten)
2 pkg. dry yeast (dissolved in 1 c. warm water)
4 c. wheat flour
2 c. rye flour
white flour as needed

Melt shortening in milk. Mix with honey and salt in 6 quart bowl. Add eggs - mix thoroughly. Add yeast, rye and wheat flour. Mix well. Add 1 1/2 - 2 c. white flour to make a stiff dough. Knead in remaining flour after letting it rest in bowl 30 minutes. Place in greased bowl - cover and let rise. Shape in loaves. Let rise. Bake 375 degrees, 30 minutes.
