CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE 
2 1/4 c. cake flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 stick butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix flour, sugar, salt and cocoa in bowl and put aside. In saucepan, boil water, oil and butter; add to dry ingredients. Mix in 2 eggs, baking soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Pour into 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool. Frost with Fudge Icing (below).

FUDGE ICING:

1 stick butter
6 tsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box powdered sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. nuts, chopped (optional)

Heat butter, milk and vanilla until melted in saucepan. Add sugar, cocoa and nuts. Will be very thick, may need to spread on cake with a wet knife.
