BASIC CREAM DRESSING WITH VARIATIONS | |
Use equal portions of sour cream and mayonnaise. Add a dash of sugar and mix well. Then add "variations". BLUE CHEESE: Add garlic powder to taste. Than add blue cheese in two parts. Mash the first part in the sour cream mixture. Then add the rest of the blue cheese in larger pieces. Refrigerate for a few hours, or more. This will keep for at least two weeks if kept cold. RANCH DRESSING MIX: To sour cream and mayonnaise mix add Ranch dressing mix and Good Seasons Italian salad mix in equal parts to taste; or example - 1 tablespoon of each to 1 cup of cream and mayonnaise. This makes an excellent dip for cold vegetable dippers, or chips, etc. Also, add liquid salad dressings to above mixture, for a creamy garlic or Italian or French dressing Very versatile. Also makes a good spread for hot or cold chicken. |
