HELEN'S BUN CANDY | |
1 (12 oz.) pkg. Nestles semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips 1 (18 oz.) jar peanut butter Melt in a double-boiler. When melted, put 1/2 the mixture into a buttered 10 x 15 inch pan. Chill to set. 1 c. butter 2/3 c. milk 1 (3 1/2 oz.) vanilla pudding mix (NOT instant) Mix together and cook for one minute. Then add 2 pounds of powdered sugar. Mix thoroughly. Pour over the chocolate mixture that is in the refrigerator chilling. Put back in refrigerator to chill some more (for a marbled effect, do not chill second layer. Proceed with remaining chocolate/nut layer. Swirl through top two layers with a knife to produce marbled effect. Chill. To remaining 1/2 chocolate mixture, add 1 pound of dry roasted peanuts. Mix. Then put on top of the pudding mixture and keep chilled. Makes approximately 5 pounds of candy. |
