NOODLE KUGEL 
8 oz. softened cream cheese
1 lb. sm. curd cottage cheese
8 oz. container sour cream
6 eggs
1 c. milk
2 sticks melted butter
3/4 to 1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 oz. shredded American cheese
16 oz. bag cooked & salted egg noodles
Top with plain bread crumbs, if desired

Combine cheeses, mix thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients, mix and add noodles last. Place in 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
