STUFFED CHEESE BREAD 
1 loaf Italian or French bread
1 c. grated Jarlsberg cheese
1/4 c. chopped onions
1/4 c. minced shallots
3 tbsp. unsalted butter
1 tsp. oregano
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp. milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice top off bread and remove doughy interior. Mix remaining ingredients until smooth and spoon into hollowed out bread. Replace top on the bread. Wrap in aluminum foil and bake 20 minutes, or until the cheese melts. Makes 20 (1" thick) slices. Wonderful as an appetizer or with soup.
