ALADA'S CLAM CHOWDER | |
4 lb. potatoes, cubed sm. 1 med. onion, cubed sm. 1/2 carrot, diced sm. 2 tbsp. worcestershire sauce 1 qt. half and half 6 slices salt pork, fried crisp (use bacon if desired) 3 cans minced clams 4 tbsp. cornstarch 1 tbsp. parsley Salt and pepper to taste Fry salt pork crisp, cool, then crumble small. Boil potatoes, onion, carrot, worcestershire sauce, parsley in just enough water to cover. Add salt pork, clams. Boil until tender, let cool for a little while, add half and half, thicken, with cornstarch. Simmer until thickened. |
