APPLE CRISP 
1 c. oats (quick or reg.)
1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
4 c. peeled, sliced, tart apples

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Place rolled oats, flour, salt and cinnamon in a bowl and mix to blend.

3. Add soft butter and blend well with pastry blender or fork.

4. Arrange peeled, sliced apples in butter baking dish.

5. Spread oatmeal mixture on top of apples and press down lightly.

6. Bake about 30 minutes or until topping is brown and apples are tender when tested with a fork.
