FIVE HUNDRED DEGREE STANDING RIB ROAST | |
Rib Roast Soy or Worcestershire Sauce Salt Coarse Black Pepper Water Preheat oven to 500°F. Bring roast to room temperature; place in open baking pan (I recommend an old-fashioned iron skillet). Liberally shake soy or Worcestershire sauce, letting some collect in bottom of pan. Salt lightly all over, pepper heavily. Add 2 - 4 cups of water. Place, uncovered in preheated oven, and cook 7 minutes per pound, turn oven off, and do not open oven door for 2 hours. The roast at serving time will be pink and delicious. Note: This recipe is for large well insulated kitchen range ovens but doesn't work well in small appliances. Submitted by: Carol S. Rhine |
