OATMEAL COOKIE CHIPS 
1 c. shortening
1 c. lightly packed brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
4 extra lg. eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 pkg. chocolate chips (6 oz.)
1 pkg. butterscotch chips
1 c. coconut
3/4 - 1 c. nuts
4 c. oatmeal

Cream together shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well. Add flour, soda, salt and baking powder. Mix well. Add chips, coconut, nuts and 1 cup oatmeal. Mix remaining oatmeal. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F. Makes 7-8 dozen.
