DROP SUGAR COOKIES 
2 sticks butter
1 c. cooking oil
2 eggs
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
Lemon crystals (optional)

Cream butter, oil and sugars. Combine flour, soda, salt and cream of tartar and add to sugar mixture gradually. Add vanilla. Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Use glass dipped in sugar to press flat. Bake in 375 degree oven approximately 10 minutes. Watch carefully! Remove from oven before brown. These cookies are quite fragile. Makes 3 dozen.
