FIVE SPICE CHICKEN 
8 halves boneless, skinless, chicken breasts]
1/3 c. soy sauce
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. crushed anise seed
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground cloves

Pour mixture over chicken in glass baking dish. Cook uncovered at 350 degrees, brushing once or twice with mixture until thickest pieces of chicken are done, about 1 hour. Mushroom slices may be added while cooking also.
