HEARTY CORN CHOWDER 
1 lb. pork sausage meat
2 tbsp. finely diced onion
3 c. milk
2 c. uncooked cubed potatoes
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/4 c. cream-style corn (#2 can)

Break up sausage meat and saute in deep kettle until crisp and crumbly. Remove pieces and reserve. Drain off half of fat in kettle and to the rest add onion.

Cook about 20 minutes; add milk, potatoes, and bay leaf. Cover and cook 20 minutes or until potatoes are done. (Watch as it boils over quickly if flame is too high or hot).

Add salt, pepper, and corn. Before serving, add pieces of sausage meat. Makes 6 servings.
