GERMAN APPLE CAKE 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 eggs, beaten
4 c. peeled, thinly sliced apples
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. salad oil
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon into large bowl. Set aside. Combine sugar, egg, oil, and vanilla. Beat at low speed until well blended. Add dry ingredients, mixing until well blended. Fold in apples and walnuts; spoon into well greased and floured pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inch. Bake 1 hour or until done.
