1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 scant c. peanut butter
2 eggs
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. shortening

Cream the shortening and sugar; add eggs. Add sifted dry ingredients. Then add the peanut butter last. Mix well. Roll dough in your hand the size of a walnut, then press with a fork onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees.
