Combine 2 cups cold water ... Stir cornstarch mixture and remaining ingredients into soup; heat thoroughly (do not boil). Yield: About 6 cups.

Fry bacon, drain and reserve 2 tbsp. of fat. Saute rice, onion, carrots ... flour, add to soup and stir constantly for approximately 1 minute.
