1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 can refried beans
1 bag tortilla chips (Doritos, Fritos or similar chips)
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
1 jar taco salsa, hot, med. or mild
2 (8 oz.) pkg. Velveeta Mexican cheese, hot or mild

Brown ground beef, drain grease. Add taco seasoning mix and water as directed on package. Simmer, add refried beans and stir.

Crumble chips and place in bottom of pan, spread 1/2 of bean and beef mixture on chips, then 1/2 jar or salsa, next 1 package of cheese. Then more chips, then beans and beef, salsa and cheese on top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes until cheese is hot and bubbly. Don't overbake or beans will be dry and cheese dark and ugly. Refrigerate leftovers and microwave next day (just as good).
