CHRISTMAS STACK CAKE 
Sugar cookie dough
Apple butter
Real or imitation brandy to flavor

Bake at least one week before Christmas.

Using layer cake tin for size, cut 10-15 rounds of cookie dough. Bake each on a cookie sheet. Take some time for this stage. Bake 12-15 minutes at 375 degrees or until lightly brown; then cool.

FILLING: Mix 2 large jars of apple butter with just enough brandy to suit - do not have apple butter too thin.

Spread filling between each layer, stacking as you go. Cover with WEIGHTED DOWN dinner plate - IMPORTANT! Cover and store in cool place.

When ready to serve, cut in thin slices. Will resemble a ribbon cake. Very rich! A tradition in our home for many years passed down from the Tennessee "Adams".
