PECAN PEAR BREAD 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1/4 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2-3 chopped pears
2/3 c. chopped pecans
1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Combine oil and sugar in bowl, beat well with electric mixer. Add eggs one at a time. Mix in sour cream and vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Beat into sour cream mixture. Stir in pear, pecans and lemon peel. Spoon batter into pan. Bake about 1 hour. Cool in pan 10-15 minutes. Turn out onto rack and let cool before slicing.
