SONNY'S CROCK POT STEW 
2 lbs. stew beef, cut in 1-inch cubes
1 lg. onion, cut in chunks
1 can tomatoes
1 whole clove or 1/2 tsp. ground
Salt and pepper to taste
5 carrots, cut in 1-inch pieces
3 stalks celery, chopped
1/2 c. quick-cooking tapioca
2 bay leaves

Trim all fat from meat. Put all ingredients in slow cooker. Mix thoroughly. Cover and cook on low 12 hours, 5-6 hours on high.
