MOLLY'S CHOCOLATE CHIP-OATMEAL
COOKIES
 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 c. quick oats
2-3 tbsp. water
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Beat shortening, sugars, egg, water and vanilla until creamy. Add flour, soda to creamed mixture and blend well. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes.
