APPLESAUCE PUMPKIN BREAD 
Cream:

2 2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening

Beat in 4 eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Stir in:

1 c. applesauce
1 c. canned pumpkin

(You may use all pumpkin if you don't have applesauce handy.)

Sift together:

3 1/3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. mace
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Add to egg mixture with 2/3 cup apple juice.

Stir in:

1 c. pecans
1 c. golden raisins

Put into 2 well greased 9x5 loaf pans and sprinkle top with mix of:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Bake 1 hour or until done in 350 degree oven. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely before slicing.
