1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
2 med. apples, thinly sliced streusel coffee cake batter
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare streusel. Heat butter in square pan, 9 x 9 x 2 inches, in oven until melted; sprinkle with brown sugar. Arrange apples in pan. Prepare streusel coffee cake batter. Spread over apples. Sprinkle with streusel. Bake until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 50 minutes. Immediately invert pan on heat proof serving plate. Let remain a minute, so butterscotch can drizzle over coffee cake. 9 servings.
