KOLACHES 
2 eggs, beaten well
4 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. butter
1/5 of 8 oz. cake OR 1 1/2 oz. wet yeast dissolved in 1 c. warm water

Cut shortening into dry ingredients. Add eggs to dry mixture. Refrigerate (can be overnight).

Roll out; cut out kolaches, let rise, make center, fill and bake at 375 degrees. Frost while still warm.
