OLD TIME FAVORITE LEMON BARS 
1 c. all-purpose or unbleached flour
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. butter

FILLING:

2 eggs
1 c. sugar (regular)
2 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. grated lemon peel
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Heat oven at 350 degrees. In a large bowl combine flour and powdered sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly. Press flour into ungreased 8 inch or 9 inch square pan. Bake for 15 minutes.

In a small bowl beat eggs and sugar until light colored. Stir in remaining ingredients and pour this mixture over the partially baked crust. Return to oven and bake 18-25 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely. If desired sprinkle powdered sugar. Cut into bars.
