SOUR CREAM WALNUT CAKE 
1/2 cup soft butter
1 1/2 cups sugar, divided
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. each baking powder and baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter and 1 cup of sugar until blended. Add eggs, one at a time beating thoroughly after each, until mixture is light and fluffy.

Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add to first mixture and beat until smooth.

Spread half of the batter in a greased 9 inch pan. Mix remaining 1/2 cup sugar, the walnuts and cinnamon. Sprinkle 2/3 over batter. Spread with remaining batter. Sprinkle remaining nut mixture. Bake at 325°F for 45 minutes.
