SLOPPY JOE FOR A CROWD 
2 1/4 lbs. ground beef
2 1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped green pepper
1 bottle (14 oz.) ketchup
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. lemon juice
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. water
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. prepared mustard

1. Brown ground beef, onion and green pepper in a skillet; drain off excess fat. Combine with remaining ingredients. Put into a large oven-proof Dutch oven or use a crock-pot.

2. Bake, covered, at 325 degrees 1 1/2 hours. To serve, spoon over toasted hamburger buns. Serves 16.
