THREE CEREAL MUFFINS | |
2 c. oatmeal 2 c. Grape Nuts 2 c. Shredded Wheat 2 c. boiling water 3 c. sugar 1 c. shortening (2/3 c. oil) 4 eggs or 8 whites 1 tbsp. salt (optional) 1 qt. buttermilk 5 c. flour 5 tsp. baking soda Soak cereals in boiling water. Set aside. Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, salt and buttermilk. Add flour and soda. Combine with cereal mixture. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. This makes a large batch. Cover and store up to three months in refrigerator. |
