TURTLE CAKE | |
1 German chocolate cake mix 1 c. evaporated milk 3/4 c. melted butter 1 pkg. caramel candy 1 c. chopped nuts 1 c. chocolate chips 1 c. coconut flakes Mix cake mix, butter and 1/2 cup evaporated milk together. Pour half of batter into 9x13 ungreased pan. Bake 5-6 minutes at 350 degrees. Batter will puff up but will still be gooey. Melt caramels with 1/2 cup of evaporated milk and drizzle half of the caramel mixture over the cake. Sprinkle half of the nuts, chocolate chips and coconut on top of this. Then spoon the rest of cake mix by dropping in dots on top of the coconut. Drizzle the rest of the caramel mixture on top of this. Finish by sprinkling the rest of the nuts, chocolate chips and coconut. Put cake in oven at 350 degrees and bake for approximately 20-25 minutes. |
