HAMBURGER RICE SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1 c. chopped celery
1 chopped green pepper as desired
1 env. dry onion soup mix
3 beef bouillon cubes
1/2 tsp. basil leaves

Brown meat and drain, stir in 4 cups water, 1/4 teaspoon salt and remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, cover, simmer 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Cook several hours. This will thicken as rice cooks, can be thinned with bouillon cube and water.
