SPOON CORNBREAD 
1 c. meal
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. baking powder
3/4 c. butter, more or less

Mix all together. Do not have the batter too thin. If too thin mix a little more meal. Use a Fry Daddy or a deep vessel to fry this in. Drop from spoon. You can use cooking oil or bacon grease. Be sure the grease is deep enough for the cornbread to turn over.
