NIGHT BEFORE EGG CASSEROLE
8 slices bread
Butter
Garlic salt
1 sm. onion, minced (about 2 tbsp.)
2 c. mild cheddar cheese, grated
6 eggs
3 c. milk (2%)
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. dry mustard
3/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Butter the bread; sprinkle with garlic salt and remove crusts. Cut into cubes. Place half the cubes in the bottom of a 2 1/2-quart casserole. Layer with half the cheese and onion. Top with remaining bread cubes, onion and cheese.

Beat the eggs; add the milk and seasonings. Mix well and pour over the layered mixture. Refrigerate overnight. Place the baking dish in a larger pan with 1 inch of water. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, until browned and puffed.
