DOUBLE-FUDGE BROWNIES | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 2/3 c. butter 1/4 c. water Bring just to a boil, stirring slightly. Remove from heat and gradually add 12 ounces semi-sweet chips, stirring to melt evenly. Add 2 teaspoons vanilla. Transfer mixture to bowl. Beat in 4 eggs, one at a time. 1 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt Add to chocolate batter, gradually. Add 1 cup semi-sweet chips and nuts if desired. (1 cup raisins is an interesting addition). Bake in greased 9x13 pan for 25 to 30 minutes. FROSTING: 1/4 c. butter 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 6 oz. semi-sweet chips 2 c. powdered sugar, sifted Melt butter with milk. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and chocolate chips. Add sugar and beat until smooth. Can add milk to thin if necessary. |
