SAND TART COOKIES 
2 lbs. of sugar
2 lbs. of flour (self rising)
1 1/4 lbs. butter
1 tsp. of vanilla
3 eggs
Walnuts (chopped in sm. pieces)

Mix well sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla, then mix flour, real slowly. Make into rolls (long) put on pan and wrap with Saran Wrap. So it don't stick together, put in refrigerator over night. Next day, slice in very thin slices. Put in a baking pan, cook until done (watch carefully).

TOPPING:

"Before you bake"

Mix 2 egg whites and cinnamon to taste and a little bit of milk in a cup. Take a small paint brush and dip into mix and put on cookie very lightly with chopped walnuts, put 1 small on top then bake at 350 degrees. Then eat up and enjoy.
