TEACAKES 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 lg. eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
5 c. plain flour
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Nutmeg to taste
1/4 c. milk

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, 1 at a time and beat; add vanilla, milk, grated nutmeg. Sift flour, salt and baking powder as you would making biscuits and add to first mixture and stir. Roll out on lightly floured board or fertilizer sack as thin as your family likes. Cut with large cookie cutter. Bake on cookie sheet until tan in color, a 350 degree oven is about right; do not overbake.
