CHICKEN TAMALE PIE 
2 1/2 tbsp. chili powder
1 1/8 c. flour
2 tbsp. chicken stock base
3 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. paprika
5/8 tbsp. salt
1/2 tbsp. garlic powder
4 1/2 oz. butter
12 oz. tomato paste
5 c. water

Blend together above ingredients. Cook slowly on medium heat for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring constantly. Boil 3 whole breasts for 1 hour. Break up chicken in good size pieces. Add to sauce:

1 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. butter
1 tbsp. chicken stock base
1/2 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. paprika
4 c. water

Cook over medium heat until thick. Spread 1/2 cornmeal mixture in 9 1/2" x 12" pan. Add chicken sauce. Spread cornmeal on top. Bake 30 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
