MOM'S COFFEE CAKE 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/4 c. firm butter
1 c. walnuts, chopped
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. sour cream
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed

Reserve 2/3 cup cake mix. Combine beaten eggs and sour cream in a bowl. Add remaining cake mix and beat according to package directions.

For topping, cream together 2/3 cup dry cake mix and butter. Mix in brown sugar and nuts. Pour half of cake batter into 9x13 inch greased and floured pan. Sprinkle on half of topping. Pour on remaining cake mixture and top with remaining topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
