ICE BOX GINGER BREAD 
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. dark syrup
3 eggs
1 3/4 tsp. baking soda in 1 c. sour milk
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
3 c. flour

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, then syrup. Add milk, flour, and spices. Bake portion you want in 375 degree oven until done. Keep unused portion in refrigerator to use later.
