NO FROST OATMEAL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cocoa

TOPPING:

1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. walnuts

Pour boiling water over oatmeal; let stand 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients to oatmeal mixture and beat well. Pour batter into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle with topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
