SPICY MEATBALLS WITH RED BEANS & RICE | |
SAUCE: 1/3 c. ketchup 2 sm. cans tomato sauce 1 green pepper 1 onion 2 tbsp. brown sugar Hot sauce to taste 1 can kidney beans MEATBALLS: 1 lb. ground meat 4-6 tsp. Louisiana Hot Sauce 1 egg 1/3 c. ketchup Onion powder chopped or powdered garlic 1 tsp. Italian seasoning Salt, Parmesan cheese, pepper, bread crumbs MEATBALLS: In bowl add ground meat, hot sauce, egg, ketchup, onion powder, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper and cheese. Add bread crumbs to desired consistency. Mold to small meatballs, brown under broiler. SAUCE: Mix ketchup, tomato sauce, green pepper, and onion. (Cut and saute pepper and onion.) Brown sugar, hot sauce and kidney beans and meatballs. Serve over rice. The hotter you make it the more brown sugar or ketchup should be added. |
