STEAK WITH TOMATO SAUCE | |
2 lbs. beef cubes or round steak, cut in serving pieces 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/3 c. flour 1 lg. onion, sliced 1/4 c. oil 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 (8 oz.) can water 1 can mushrooms, drained (optional) Potatoes, uncooked, peeled, and halved Place flour and salt in plastic bag. Shake meat in bag with flour. Brown meat in skillet with oil and onion. Mix tomato sauce, water, and mushrooms together. When meat is done, place in a greased 9 x 13 inch dish, onion, and all. Top with tomato sauce mixture and add potatoes. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours. |
