SHEPHERD'S PIE, CAMPOUT STYLE 
2 lb. hamburger
2 cans green beans
2 c. carrots
1 lg. onion
6 med. potatoes
Salt and pepper
Garlic powder
1 c. Longhorn cheese, shredded
1 c. sour cream

Brown meat with chopped onion and garlic powder, put in garlic powder to taste; drain some fat off. Cook 2 cups of carrots, cleaned and chopped, until tender; drain, 2 cans of green beans, drained. Add carrots and beans to meat. Prepare and cook 6 medium potatoes for mashed potatoes. Save some of the water potatoes were cooked in for later. Mash potatoes with 1 cup of sour cream, should be thick; thin potatoes with the potato water. Salt and pepper potatoes to taste. Add meat, bean and carrot mixture to Dutch oven, iron pan or casserole dish. Top with mashed potatoes. Make peaks in potatoes like a pie. Sprinkle with cheese; brown in oven until cheese is melted and potatoes are lightly brown.
