FRUITED ACORN SQUASH 
1 sm. acorn squash (about 1 lb.)
3/4 c. unpeeled, chopped cooking apples
1/4 c. chopped orange sections
2 tsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. butter, melted

Cut squash in half lengthwise; remove seeds. Place, cut side down, in shallow baking dish. Add boiling water to 1/2 inch. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Turn cut side up and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients and spoon into squash cavities. Cook 15 more minutes. Yield: 2 servings.
