CHEESECAKE SQUARES 
CRUST:

1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. walnuts or pecans

FILLING:

8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixer bowl combine flour, brown sugar, and butter. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often until mixture is crumbly (2-3 minutes). By hand stir in nuts. Reserve 1 cup of mixture for topping. Press remaining mixture on bottom of 8-inch square baking pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.

Meanwhile, in small mixer bowl, combine all filling ingredients. Beat at medium speed until smooth (4-5 minutes). Spread over hot crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Continue baking for 23-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool at room temperature. Cut into bars. Store refrigerated.
