APRICOT PRUNE BREAD 
2 c. dried apricots and prunes (or any dried fruit), cut in pieces
4 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. orange juice
1 c. nuts

Cover dried fruit with hot water. Let stand. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Beat well. Combine flour, soda, salt, and baking powder. Add alternately with orange juice. Fold in drained fruit and nuts. Bake in 2 loaf pans at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
