COURTYARD WHITE BREAD 
10 c. white flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 qt. milk
1 qt. water
4 tbsp. yeast
2 c. white flour

Heat sugar, salt, water, milk, and butter until approximately 110 degrees. Add yeast; let stand 10 minutes. Add flour, let stand, covered, until dough peaks cloth. Add 2 cups flour. Beat out and roll into bundle. Let stand approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Cut into 6 (1 1/2 pound) loaves and 2 to 3 (1 pound) round loaves. Let rise. Beat down in pans, when bread rerises, bake 25 minutes at 375 degrees. Serves 36 to 42.
