BREAKFAST STRATA 
8 slices bread, buttered on both sides and cut in 1-inch sqs.
Green peppers and mushrooms (optional)
Sausage or bacon (optional)
1 lb. Longhorn Cheddar cheese, grated
3 c. milk
8 eggs
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. dry mustard
Cayenne pepper to taste

Place bread in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Add cheese and optional ingredients. Beat eggs; add milk and spices. Pour over bread. Let set for 6 hours or overnight in refrigerator. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
