3 stalks celery 1 lb. onions 1 lb. green peppers 2 lbs. hamburger 1 can tomato soup 1 can tomato paste 1 can arturo sauce 1 med. size jar stuffed olives 1 med. can mushrooms 2 pkgs. wide noodles 3/4 lb. American cheese Salt & pepper Chop fine the celery, onions and green peppers. Saute together with the hamburger in a large saucepan. Pour the tomato soup, tomato paste and artura sauce over the above mixture and stir well. Add the mushrooms and stuffed olives. Stir again. Let cook on top of the stove for about 25 to 30 minutes. Boil separately the noodles and drain well. Mix in with the other ingredients. Place in a baking dish and sprinkle the cheese over the top. Bake at 325 degrees until the cheese melts and it is a golden brown. (Great for the 4th Sunday night supper. Serve with French bread and a salad. Can be made in small portions as desired.) |
