HOT SHERRY FRUIT | |
1 med. can sliced pineapple 1 med. can peach halves 1 med. can pear halves 1 med. can spiced apple rings 1 med. can apricot halves 2 tbsp. flour 2 tsp. butter 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 c. sherry Drain all fruit and cut into halves. Arrange fruit in layers in a large casserole dish. In the top of a double boiler, combine the flour, butter, brown sugar and sherry. Cook until thick and smooth. Pour sauce over fruit, cover and let stand in refrigerator overnight. Before serving, bake at 350 degrees for about 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes) or until hot. Delicious with pork or chicken. Keeps well for several days. Serves 12. |
