FOOLPROOF PIE CRUST 
4 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
Scant 1/2 c. water
1 3/4 c. shortening
2 tsp. salt
1 egg

Mix sifted flour, salt, and sugar. Cut in shortening with pastry blender. Beat liquid ingredients. Combine 2 mixes, stirring until moistened. Mold dough with hands into a cylinder. Slice into 5 to 6 parts.
